Ahli Dewan Undangan Negeri Seri Setia, Nik Nazmi Nik Ahmad bersama rombongan dari Parti Keadilan Rakyat Bahagian Kelana Jaya mengadakan pertemuan ringkas dengan Ketua Polis Daerah Petaling Jaya, ACP Arjunaidi Mohamed di Ibu Pejabat Polis Daerah pagi tadi.
Dalam pertemuan kira-kira 30 minit tersebut, ACP Arjunaidi memberi latarbelakang operasi polis di Petaling Jaya. Nik Nazmi dan rombongannya pula membangkitkan beberapa isu seperti situasi di flat kos rendah dan kes Sharlinie.
Pada akhir pertemuan, Keadilan Kelana Jaya mencadangkan kempen kemasyarakatan yang akan merangkumi kempen banteras jenayah dan perpaduan dengan kerjasama polis bagi memberi manfaat kepada penduduk Seri Setia. Pihak polis mengalu-alukan program tersebut dan menyatakan kesediaan mereka untuk turut serta.
Tahniah atas kejayaan dan “takziah” atas tanggungjawab yg dipikul. Moga dapat mewakili kepentingan dan kebajikan penduduk di Dewan Undangan Negeri (Dun) anda. Kalau-kalau ada peluang dan ruang, jangan lupakan juga agenda kebudayaan dan kesusasteraan di Dun anda.

in my opinions, there are many things to do to curb or to stop crimes from happening. there is no single approach that can claim to be effective and abondaning other thoughts.
i would like to suggest nik nazmi to promote to mosque or surau, to churches, to tokong2, to kuil2 around your DUN to urge them to play their role more in helping the police or the society in tackling the crime issues.
maybe for mosque and surau, tell the ajk or the imam to remind the people to attend solat jemaah five times a day, and after the prayers, they spend about constant let say 10 minutes of talk or ceramah about the hadith2 or verses from quran regarding crime, what’s the bad effect of crime to the society etc. tell the priests, monks2, and ajk tokong to do the same but according to their religions rules;for christians, they go to the church on the weekend only as i am aware, but, maybe the priests can hold talk in the church about 5-10 minutes with the christians at designated time say everyday.
in uk, (yes, i have to admit that they are not so perfect, they sometimes do wring things too, but, we learn only the good lessons) they are quite good because of their sopan santun (kot, i am not sure the right term). they don’t do sth because they feel ashame to do it and being caught red-handed; it’s sth like’white people responsibility’ we learnt in form 4 history. they think their good society and by doing bad deeds, they feel somehow tarnishing the reputation.
as in malaysia, we have to create the atmosphere of ‘keagamaan’ or ‘conciousness towards the good virtue’. yes, i cannot deny that money constraint can overtake the keagamaan spirit, but, that’s the least we can do.
if there are 5 thoughts on how to improve judicial image in malaysia, but the 4 others are not that powerful compared to the strong one thought, just go ahead with the 5 thoughts. if suruhanjaya is not that efficient enough to restore the reputation, but at least, that’s still an idea that can be implemented. this is just for example, but, maybe out of context here,sorry.
April 13th, 2008 at 3:37 amMy neighbour was robbed at kelana jaya LRT at parang point! You have to act fast in securing this neighbourhood. Better lighting at the parking area and CCTV. Simple cheap and effective. He was lucky to be alive with only his wallet and car keys lost. Some others may not be so lucky

April 18th, 2008 at 2:32 pmHarap dapat berbuat sesuatu terhadap banjir kilat yg sering melanda di Lorong PJS 6/4F. Sejak 10 tahun lalu apabila hujan berpanjangan selama 1 jam kami penghuni 5 buah rumah No. 3,5,7,9 rumah yg paling teruk dilanda banjir kilat dan 11 serta rumah di blok belakang terpaksa bertungkus lumus membersih rumah,selut,sampah sarap dan bau kurang enak air kumbahan memang menjadi mainan kami kala hujan. Halaman, bahagian hadapan dan belakang rumah dinaiki air separas peha. Kekadang banjir masuk ke ruang tamu walau telah dibina tembok penghalang. Lantai telah dinaikkan, kipas syiling dah tercapai tangan tapi masalah masih melanda. Saya pernah menggantikan lantai ruang tamu kerana lantainya roboh dan menjunam kedalam akibat laluan air banjir. Kami minta simpati mungkin longkang boleh diperbesarkan.Tak tahu nak mengadu dimana lagi. Kasihan kami.

April 19th, 2008 at 6:50 amTeruskan usaha YB. Saya sebagai pengundi Seri Setia yang berada di luar kawasan Tuan, hanya memerhatikan semua perkembangan semasa. Tetapi tidak menjadi masalah kerana Kota Damansara juga sedang berusaha keras mengwujudkan persekitaran yang lebih baik
