On Monday night I hosted a meeting with a few twitteratis (a.k.a. tweet-up) to discuss my book, Moving Forward: Malays for the 21st Century. We met at the Malay cafe below my constituency office in Kelana Jaya.
It was an informal discussion and was attended by a Bar Council activist, UMNO and Gerakan members, NGO leaders and other Malaysians.
Of course, the discussion veered into other latest political developments.
At the end, we agreed that there is a need to bring our politics to the center and uplift the discourse of our politics. All communities (not just the Malays) need to focus on building trust and moving forward.
All in all, I can safely say my first tweetup was a good experience.
